About Codeforgegrid
Independent, careful guidance for employees making a consequential departure decision in Germany.
Why this practice exists
Codeforgegrid began from a recurring Berlin workplace problem: capable employees were accepting a new role before they had translated their current contract into a dependable departure date. The practice gives that decision a quiet, structured hour before the letter is signed.
Our lead adviser, Clara Neumann, has twelve years of experience in German people operations and employee-relations case preparation across international employers. Her work focuses on reading employment documentation, planning conversations, and recognising when a matter needs a Rechtsanwalt, union representative, tax adviser, or public authority.
How we work
We start with the actual wording and dates, not assumptions about what “usually” happens. The client remains in control of communication with the employer. Our notes distinguish confirmed facts, working assumptions, and questions that still need an authoritative answer.
Confidentiality, plain English, and realistic limits matter here. We do not promise a preferred end date, conceal risk, or present general guidance as courtroom representation. We welcome employees from different sectors, contract types, and national backgrounds, whether the conversation takes place at our Leipziger Straße office or by video.
The boundary is part of the service
Codeforgegrid provides consultation and planning support. It is not a law firm and does not represent clients in disputes. Where the facts involve dismissal, discrimination, works-council rights, disputed pay, immigration status, or urgent litigation deadlines, we recommend prompt specialist advice.
